Periodical crank clean+checkup

Had a bit of time on hand, so decided to clean out and check both the cranks, just like that.

The pics show both cranks taking their turns in the "bath tub" :)

    Diesel or Kerosene bath? They do have good cleansing properties! In anyway they affect the crank, esp in terms of lubrication?

    Hi there

    I just cleaned the crank with diesel. For storage, the oil i use is 15W40 diesel engine oil. It's thick and has good cleansing properties.
